Troubleshooting sign-in and access problems

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Sign In User Access

Most sign-in and access problems in NetNada have a quick fix — usually signing in again, requesting a fresh invitation, or asking your workspace admin to grant access. This article walks through the most common situations and what to do in each one.

In this article, you'll learn how to:

  • Get back in after your session expires
  • Deal with expired or already-used invitation links
  • Resolve access problems when you can sign in but can't see your company's data
  • Handle temporary login timeouts and account setup issues
Before troubleshooting, check that you're using the email address your invitation was sent to. Signing in with a different email creates a separate account with no access to your organisation's data.

Sign in again after an expired session

If you see a message like "Your session has expired" or "You're not fully signed in", there's nothing wrong with your account. For security, NetNada automatically signs you out after a period of inactivity.

1

Sign out completely

If you're stuck on an error screen, use the option to return to the home page — this signs you out cleanly.
2

Sign back in

Sign in with your usual email address. Your data and settings are exactly as you left them.
3

Retry the action

If you were in the middle of something — an upload or an edit — repeat the action once you're signed back in.

Request a new invitation link

Invitation links are single-use and expire after a while. If you see "The invitation link used is invalid, expired, or has already been used", the link itself is the problem — not your account.

  • Link already used — If you've already accepted the invitation, skip the link and sign in directly instead.
  • Link expired — Ask the person who invited you to send a fresh invitation, then use the new link straight away.
  • Link mistyped or truncated — Email programs sometimes break long links. Copy the full link from the original email rather than clicking a partial one.

Check the invitation matches your organisation

If you see "This invitation is intended for a different organisation", the invitation was created for a different workspace to the one your account belongs to. This usually happens when you already have a NetNada account with another organisation, or the wrong email address was invited.

Ask the person who invited you to confirm they invited the correct email address, and to send a new invitation if needed. If you genuinely work across two organisations, each one needs to invite you separately.

Ask your workspace admin for access to company data

If you can sign in but the dashboard looks empty, or you see a message that you don't have permission to view or change data, your account isn't yet linked to your organisation's workspace.

Ask your workspace admin to send you an invitation from inside NetNada. Once you accept it, your organisation's data appears automatically. Learn more in inviting team members and advisors.

Advisors and consultants who support several organisations need an invitation from each organisation they work with. Access to one workspace never carries over to another.

Wait and retry after a temporary timeout

Occasionally sign-in fails with a connection or service message — for example that the service is temporarily unavailable, or that your login couldn't be processed. These are almost always short-lived.

  • Wait a minute or two, then try signing in again
  • Check your internet connection is stable — especially on office networks with strict firewalls
  • Try a different browser or a private browsing window to rule out stale browser data

Contact support for account setup issues

If you've just signed in for the first time and see a message about an account setup issue — or that your account information couldn't be accessed or updated — retrying won't help. Something needs correcting on our side.

When to contact support

Contact help@netnada.com.au if signing in again doesn't resolve the problem, if you see a persistent account setup message, or if a fresh invitation still fails. Include the email address you're signing in with and a screenshot of the message — it helps us resolve things much faster.

FAQ

Why does my session keep expiring?
Sessions time out after inactivity for security — it protects your emissions data if you leave a device unattended. Signing back in restores everything as you left it.
Can I use the same invitation link on two devices?
No. Invitation links are single-use. Accept the invitation once on any device, then sign in normally everywhere else with your email address.
I work with multiple organisations — do I need separate accounts?
No, one account is fine, but each organisation must invite you to its own workspace. Once invited, you can switch between the workspaces you have access to.
Will I lose data I was working on when my session expires?
Completed uploads and saved edits are kept. Anything you hadn't saved when the session ended — such as a half-finished form — needs to be re-entered after you sign back in.
What if I see a message about a page belonging to a different organisation?
You're probably following an old link or bookmark from another workspace. Sign out, sign back in, and navigate to the page from the dashboard rather than the saved link.
