Audit Page Carbon Ledger

The Audit Page is the final verification checkpoint for your carbon inventory. It shows every transaction with full calculation detail โ€” emission factors, confidence scores, source files โ€” and lets you filter, edit, and export the data for auditors. Navigate to Analyse > Audit Page.

The Audit Page requires completed data ingestion through the Task Manager or Data Templates, and finished background system calculations.

What Each Row Shows

Each row is a single transaction or data entry in your carbon inventory. By default, the table shows:

  • Date โ€” The transaction date
  • Facility name โ€” The node this entry is linked to
  • GHG category โ€” Which emissions category (e.g., purchased goods and services, electricity)
  • Scope โ€” Scope 1, 2, or 3
  • Description โ€” Always includes how the calculation was performed
  • Supplier name โ€” The vendor or provider
  • AI confidence โ€” For spend-based calculations, the confidence score of the AI classification
  • Emissions โ€” The calculated COโ‚‚e value
  • Emission factor โ€” Which factor was applied
  • Source file โ€” Click to go directly to the uploaded file

You can customise which columns are displayed โ€” NetNada has 22+ fields available, including activity, activity units, emission factor category, emission factor database, and more.

AI Confidence Scores

When spend-based calculations are used, NetNada assigns an AI confidence score to each entry. The scores are colour-coded:

LevelColourAction
High (โ‰ฅ90%)GreenStrong match โ€” usually safe to proceed
MediumAmberReview recommended to ensure accuracy
LowRedManual review required for compliance accuracy

AI Search Filter

You don't need to know which scope or category to filter by. Type a natural-language question into the AI search bar and NetNada will set up the filters for you.

Examples:

  • "Show me all electricity entries" โ€” sets scope and category filters automatically
  • "Entries without a supplier name" โ€” filters for data quality gaps
  • "Entries with no emission factor" โ€” finds unmatched rows
  • "Entries from CEDA database" โ€” filters by emission factor source

Filtering

Beyond AI search, you can filter manually by:

  • Entity / node โ€” Select specific facilities (searchable dropdown)
  • Time period โ€” Filter by date range
  • Scope โ€” Scope 1, 2, or 3
  • GHG category โ€” Specific emissions categories
  • Data source โ€” File, invoice/bill, calculator, or modelling
  • AI confidence โ€” Filter by confidence level
  • Supplier โ€” Search by supplier name
  • Data quality โ€” Missing supplier name, missing emission factor, failed entries
  • Emission factor source โ€” Filter by database (e.g., CEDA, DEFRA, custom)

Editing Entries

Edit GHG Category

If a transaction was classified into the wrong category, you can reassign it. Select the entry, choose the correct GHG category, and provide a reason for the change.

Edit Emission Factor

Search for a different emission factor within NetNada's database by selecting the sector, category, region, source, year, unit type, scope, and lifecycle activity. NetNada pre-filters based on the entry's existing unit to show relevant options.

Bulk Editing

Apply a filter first to narrow your view, then use Select All to select all entries matching that filter. The selection count reflects only the filtered entries โ€” for example, filtering for Scope 2 and selecting all might give you 24 entries. You can then apply changes (like a new emission factor) to all selected entries at once.

Exporting Data

Click Download to export the current view (including any active filters) as an Excel file. The export includes all visible columns โ€” so add the columns you need before downloading.

You can also export just a filtered subset. For example, filter for Scope 2 only, select all, and export โ€” you'll get just the Scope 2 data for your auditor.

FAQ

What is the difference between the audit page export and the dashboard download?
The audit page exports individual transactions with full detail (emission factor, confidence, source file). The dashboard download exports aggregated emissions by category and month. Use the audit page for line-by-line review; use the dashboard for summaries.
Can I delete entries from the audit page?
Yes. Deletions are logged with metadata for audit purposes. If you need to remove an entire file's data, it's usually easier to delete the file from Files and Submissions.
How do I know which emission factor database was used?
Add the "Emission Factor Source" and "Emission Factor Database" columns to your view. Common databases include CEDA (Australia), DEFRA (UK), and EPA (US).
What does 'N/A' supplier mean?
Entries without an associated supplier name appear under N/A. This typically happens when the source data didn't include supplier information, or the category doesn't have a supplier concept (e.g., electricity from a utility).
Can my auditor access the audit page directly?
If your auditor has a NetNada account (as a user or advisor), they can access the audit page, apply filters, and export data. This is often the most efficient way to support the assurance process.
