How to invite team members and external advisors
Last updated: 18 August 2026
Carbon accounting is a team sport โ data lives with finance, operations, facilities, and often an external consultant. NetNada supports this through two distinct invitation pathways: one for internal team members, who join your account directly, and one for external advisors, who connect to your account from their own advisor workspace. Both start at Admin > Invite Users.
In this article, you'll learn how to:
- Invite colleagues with a shareable link and choose how long the link stays valid
- Grant an external consultant or auditor advisor access
- Decide which invitation pathway fits each person
- View and remove existing users from your account
Inviting Internal Team Members
Navigate to Admin > Invite Users
Choose how long the link stays valid
Generate and copy the link
Share the link with your colleagues
Granting Access to an External Advisor
Advisors are external professionals โ sustainability consultants, accounting firms, auditors โ who work across multiple client organisations. They get a different access model: rather than joining your team, they connect your account to their own Advisor Panel, where they can manage your engagement alongside their other clients, upload data on your behalf, and verify reports.
Open the Advisors tab
Generate the advisor invite link
Send it to your advisor
Which Pathway Should You Use?
| Team member | Advisor | |
|---|---|---|
| Who they are | Internal staff โ finance, operations, sustainability | External professionals โ consultants, accountants, auditors |
| Where they work | Inside your account only | From their own Advisor Panel, across multiple clients |
| Typical use | Collecting data, completing assigned tasks | Reviewing calculations, uploading evidence, verifying reports |
| Invite from | Team Members tab | Advisors tab |
Managing Existing Users
Navigate to Admin > Users to see everyone with access to your account, including each person's name, email, and role. Administrators with the right permission can remove a user from the account via the actions menu on their row โ useful when someone leaves the organisation or an engagement ends.
