Task Manager
Last updated: 20 March 2025
The NetNada Task Manager is a streamlined project management tool specifically designed for carbon accounting workflows. Think of it as a dedicated alternative to enterprise tools like Notion or Jira, purpose-built for completing emissions measurements and carbon inventory tasks.
Automatic Task Generation
Tasks are created automatically based on your organisation's established emissions scope, time period for reporting, and structural hierarchy. This means you don't need to manually create tasks โ the system knows what data needs to be collected.
Task Administration
You can delegate responsibilities to team members, track advancement, and organise tasks using various filters:
- Filter by timeframes to focus on specific reporting periods
- Filter by boundaries to see tasks within specific emission scopes
- Filter by organisational nodes to view tasks for specific locations
- Filter by GHG Protocol groupings to organise by emission categories
Task Details & Instructions
Each task displays relevant information to help assignees complete their work:
- Responsible personnel assigned to the task
- Guidance documents and instructions
- Multiple data entry approaches including spreadsheet uploads or invoice-based data imports
Status Management
Tasks can be managed through their lifecycle:
| Action | When to Use |
|---|---|
| Mark Complete | When all required data has been uploaded and verified |
| Exclude | When a task is not applicable to your organisation |
| Reopen | When additional information needs to be added to a completed task |
All status changes are tracked by the system for audit purposes.
Data Integration
The Task Manager facilitates smooth transitions between task management and the data uploader interface. When you're ready to upload data for a task, the system provides step-by-step guidance throughout the input process.
