Org Structure Nodes Node Map Admin Panel
Think of Nodes as the building blocks of your organisation. They represent your hierarchical business structure and are managed at Admin > Nodes.
Node Table vs. Node Map
A detailed list view designed for quick searching, filtering by type, and performing administrative actions. Best for day-to-day management and data entry.
Adding a New Node
1
Click + Add Node
Open the node creation form from the Node Table view.
2
Provide Node Name
Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Sydney CBD Office").
3
Select Node Type
Choose from:
- Organisation โ top-level legal entity
- Region โ geographical division
- Facility โ specific physical site
- Project โ temporary initiative
4
Set Location
Select the Country and State/Province for this node.
5
Choose Parent Node
Select an existing parent node, or select "None" for a top-level entity.
6
Save
Click Add Node to save and add to your structure.
Visualising Relationships
In the Node Map tab, you can choose Vertical or Horizontal layouts. A solid line indicates a direct reporting relationship where the child node's emissions roll up into the parent. Look for orphaned nodes lacking parent connections โ these won't contribute to your totals.
Navigation
| Element | Action |

Tips
Start Top-Down: Create your Organisation node first, then Regions, and finally Facilities.
Use Project nodes for temporary events or initiatives.
The Node Map is often the first thing an auditor will look at โ keep it clean and accurate.

Common Issues
Duplicate nodes causing data double-counting
Review your Node Table for duplicates. Consolidate by reassigning data to the correct node, then delete the duplicate.
Cannot delete a node
Nodes linked to active emissions boundaries cannot be deleted. Remove the boundary link first, then delete the node.
Missing parent node assignments
Orphaned nodes without a parent won't roll up into global totals. Edit the node and assign a parent to fix this.
