What is a materiality assessment?

What is double materiality?
Double materiality looks at both directions: how your organisation affects people and the environment (impact materiality) and how sustainability issues affect your organisation's financial position (financial materiality). Chapter 5 covers it after the course teaches each perspective on its own.
Is materiality relevant to AASB S2?
Yes. AASB S2 asks for material information about climate-related risks and opportunities, which is a financial-materiality judgement. Chapter 4 teaches how to make it.

How often should a materiality assessment be repeated?
The course's final chapter covers how often to repeat the assessment and how to manage your material topics in between.
