AI Knowledge Base Management

Have an AI agent that works for you, using your sustainability methodology, your climate reporting frameworks, and your internal standards. Upload documents to NetNada's AI Knowledge Base and the platform's AI agent answers using your language and approach instead of generic best practice.

How It Works

The AI Knowledge Base is how you customise NetNada's sustainability AI agent. Upload your documents, scope them at tenant or global level, and the AI agent grounds its answers in your own standards.

1

Open the Knowledge Base

Navigate to the AI Knowledge Base from the sidebar. You'll see the full library of documents currently grounding the AI agent's responses, with version, upload date, and scope.

2

Choose the scope of your documents

Upload documents at the tenant level (specific to your organisation) or at the global / white-label level (applies across every tenant on your deployment). Scope determines which conversations the document influences.

3

Upload your documents

Drag and drop PDFs, Word documents, or text files. NetNada processes the document, extracts the key content, and makes it available to the AI agent within minutes.

4

Use the AI agent with grounded answers

Ask a question and the AI agent will reference the relevant uploaded documents in its answer — so "how do we treat business travel emissions" returns your methodology, not a generic textbook explanation.

5

Manage and clean up over time

Delete outdated documents, swap in new versions, and audit what the AI agent is currently grounded on. Advisors can manage knowledge base content on behalf of the tenants they support.

Why Use NetNada's AI Knowledge Base

Answers in your organisation's voice

The AI agent cites your own methodology, your own approved phrasing, and your own reporting standards rather than defaulting to generic carbon-accounting or climate-reporting language.

Onboard new team members faster

Instead of forwarding the methodology PDF every time a new starter joins, point them at the AI agent. Relevant sections of your internal documentation surface in seconds.

White-label customisation

Configure your knowledge base once at the white-label level and the same context applies across every tenant on your deployment — perfect for consultancies running a consistent methodology across clients.

Per-tenant overrides

Override or extend the global knowledge base on a per-tenant basis when individual clients have client-specific standards, frameworks, or industry requirements.

Auditable AI grounding

Every document in the knowledge base has a clear upload date, owner, and version. When auditors ask why the AI agent gave a specific answer, you can show the source.

Advisor-managed knowledge

Sustainability consultants can upload knowledge base documents while impersonating a tenant, taking full control over what the AI agent knows about each client they manage.

Who Needs the AI Knowledge Base

In-house sustainability teams with established methodology

Upload your internal carbon-accounting methodology so the AI agent aligns with how you report.

White-label deployers

Configure a shared methodology once across every tenant in your white-label deployment.

Sustainability consultancies serving multiple clients

Upload client-specific frameworks and references for each tenant in your portfolio.

Compliance leads working with bespoke frameworks

Add the specific reporting framework (AASB S2, CDP, ISSB, NGER guidance) so the AI agent's answers stay aligned with the standard you're reporting against.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about AI Knowledge Base Management

What document formats are supported?
PDF, DOCX, and plain text files are supported out of the box. Most sustainability methodology and climate-reporting framework documents work without modification.
Where is my uploaded content stored?
Documents are stored within your NetNada deployment using the same data residency and security controls as the rest of your data. Documents are not shared with third-party AI providers.
How quickly do uploaded documents take effect?
Documents are typically available to the AI agent within a few minutes of upload. There is no separate model-training step you need to wait for.
Can I see what documents the AI agent referenced in an answer?
The AI agent indicates when its answer draws on knowledge base content. You can audit the document library at any time to see what's currently active.
How does this differ from the AASB Report Extractor?
The Knowledge Base is reference material that grounds the AI agent's answers across all of your work. The AASB Report Extractor is a focused tool for extracting structured fields from AASB disclosure documents specifically.
