NetNada - March 2026 Product Release
This sprint, we’ve been laying the groundwork to make data uploads seamless for larger organisations. Alongside a revamped waste workflow and improved dashboards, we’ve taken the first big steps toward a major update landing next sprint.
The headline? Emission factor selection now lives entirely inside the app. No more tab-switching. No more copy-pasting IDs. Just find, verify, and apply — all in one place.
We’ve also relaxed strict input validations across the board. Whether someone types “scooter”, “motorbike”, or “moto”, our system accepts and maps it correctly. This is already live for 40+ waste types, and it’s just the beginning.
Under the hood, we’re building the foundation to process massive file batches at once. You won’t see batching just yet — but hold tight for the next release.
In-App Emission Factor Selection
Say goodbye to our famous Climatiq side-quests. We’ve completely overhauled how emission factors work.
You can now edit any transaction line and pick from over 50,000 emission factors directly within the app. We replicated the full Climatiq search system so you never need to leave your workflow.
Smart compatibility checks are baked in. If you’re looking at a Starbucks receipt, the app knows you need a dollar-based emission factor and will block you from accidentally applying a physical unit like kg/L. Errors caught before they happen.

Audit & Modelling Tables
The Audit Table now opens with an instant summary bar — total emissions, total activity, and row count at a glance. No more scrolling to understand a file.
Source files view now clearly flags when a manual submission contains more than one file, so you can track exactly what was included.
The Modelling Table supports multiple evidence file attachments per record. All supporting documents in one place, ready for review.

Waste Workflow & Stream Handling
The waste workflow got a serious upgrade:
- Clear processing states — you’ll see exactly what’s happening while a file is being analysed
- Flexible data types — supports files with weight or volume, with smoother review and correction
- Inline editing — edit extracted data during review, including canonical parent and stream selection, without reprocessing
We’ve also removed strict validation on waste stream input. Enter any waste stream — even with typos or variations — and our intelligent backend mapping matches it to the right canonical parent-child stream automatically.

Projection & Targets Improvements
Chart scaling got a meaningful fix. Previously, one outsized historic year could compress the entire chart, making future pathways look flat and hard to read.
Now the scaling is balanced. Pathways, targets, and trends are clearer and more meaningful at a glance.

White Label — New User Table
The White Label module now includes a User Table for improved visibility and management of users across your white-label environment.

Backend Migrations & Bug Fixes
We’ve migrated three key services out of AWS Lambda and into our Express/TypeScript backend, removing external dependencies and running everything as proper BullMQ workers:
- OCR invoice processing — now runs alongside our existing background jobs
- Column mapper — the Gemini-powered CSV/Excel header mapping service, moved from Python/FastAPI Lambda
- Framework analyser — compliance framework PDF analysis, now fully within our stack
Bug fixes:
- Nettie attribution fix — Nettie was surfacing the task-completer’s identity instead of the actual data uploader. Fixed under the AI tools layer.
- Employee commute template — Fixed missing field definitions. Added ratio split of primary and secondary distance with related emissions calculations for more accurate data.
If you notice anything unexpected post-release, share the tenant/org, page URL, steps to reproduce, and a screenshot if possible.
Making this planet better, one sprint at a time.
